It's sad though that the Italians buy this and see these xenophobic acts as protection from their officials. Also, the media (both Italian and Romanian - and most likely any other) participates with 'success' in making this conflict more ample by speculating too much the sensational in it. As many tragedies in history were generated by church (and related ideologies), more and more modern inter-human conflicts are generated (or at least: amplified) by the media.
