This was helpful, but a few changes should b made to the almost free section as gelato is now usually €2.50-3. for a scoop or two, and the ticket prices for the Uzzi gallery other attractions has jumped up about €4

Enjoyed the whole article. Will be taking a 2 wk cruise in October and making many stops in Italy. Visiting Florence and seeing David will be one of the highlights. Also want to buy a SOFT leather jacket. Hopefully.

I heard that Early Autumn and Spring are the best times to visit Florence. This is still considered to be tourist season, but is not too overcrowded. Summer is the busiest season and you should expect crowds if you choose to travel at this time. The later Autumn tends to be chilly and can be rainy. It is still warm enough to visit and the crowds will have disappeared by this time
