Chocolates
- cioccolato bianco (white chocolate) - a real treat!
- cioccolato al rhum (quite new)
- cioccolato allo zenzero [ginger] (quite new)
- bacio bianco (like bacio but with a white chocolate base)

Creams
- stracciatella alla menta (aka cioccomenta or aftereight) - mint base with chocolate chips, just gorgeous!
- torroncino (from the typical honey and hazelnut sweet 'torrone')
- yogurt (usually "ai frutti di bosco")
- amaretto
- miele (honey)

Nuts
- noce (walnut)

Oddballs
- puffetta [=smurfette] (aka chewing gum or cicca) - hot pink, chewing-gum flavoured ice-cream, very loved by little girls

Fruit
- banana
- anguria (watermelon)
- fragolina di bosco (wild strawberry)
Tropical fruit's being quite fashionable at the moment, too: pineapple, mango, papaya, maracuja, passion fruit...

- Rosa (rose)
- Viola (violet)
(a bit more difficult to find, more fashionable in the past)

Ciao
Stella from Milano

Unfortunately I don't remember the place anymore:(
If anyone had an idea, please let me know.

i was looking online out of curiousity about the viagra flavor too. most were saying like a previous commenter was, a sour lemonade. this is from one of the sites describing the flavor:
Viagra Gelato: Vancouver, British Columbia

The Viagra Gelato is definitely not made with Viagra. It has flavors such as the Strawberry Lemon and Orange which are sold at Amata or Mondo Gelato Café in Vancouver, British Columbia. The gelato consists of lemon liquor and blue dye which are similar to the Viagra’s color that’s why they name it as Viagra Gelato.

That's so interesting, Elisabetta, I've never heard of that flavor - perhaps I need to go back to San Gimignano and try it! :) I found this note on the website of a gelato shop in the city, so it's still around:

Another flavour for the oddball section:

Vernaccia - I don't know how it's made exactly, and it may be a sorbetto and not a gelato (I haven't had it for almost 20 years, so the memories are a bit vague). Anyhow, one of the ingredients is Vernaccia, the typical wine of San Gimignano, near Siena. I have only ever had it (and seen it) in gelaterie in the town where the wine is from. All I remember is that it was scrumptious!

Well, thank you for reminding me of the malaga flavor! (under the oddballs section)
Haven't had it in years! Can't wait to go back this September and have a scoop (along with standard nocciola, mmm)
