For this Italy photo of the week, we are in Asolo:
Asolo is a tiny hilltop town north of Venice. I’m not convinced there’s a perfectly flat street in the entire town, it’s so perched on top of a hill. At its very top is a castle ruin, and I spotted this gate en route to the castle. I loved this gate… I’m sure if I were the owner of the gate it would drive me nuts, half falling apart every time I tried to open it – but as a photographer, I think it’s perfect just the way it is.
