- Vatican throws light on history as it opens secret archives
This is pretty cool – from Feb-Sept 2012, documents from the Vatican's Secret Archives will be on display in a special exhibition at the Capitoline Museums to mark the 400th anniversary of the formation of the Secret Archives. The idea that Rome would pave over its cobblestoned streets isn't so outlandish, given that they're challenging to repair and difficult to navigate when wet.
