Uh, Bruce Lee’s ‘Way of The Dragon’ was shot at the colloseum in early 70′s. Sorry its not a ‘chick flick’; but actually, if you bothered to see the classic, rated a rare 100% at rottentomatoes.com, you’d get a glimps at Bruce’s magnificent frame; put Chuck Norris to shame.

Cannot remember the name of the movie or the actors. Girl in USA has a fiance, goes somewhere in Europe, a young man meets her on the steps of some canal by a walkway that goes over the water, they fall in love, she goes back home, breaks up with the fiance, comes back to the man she fell in love with, he has a daughter and his mother takes care of her. He has to go to the service and think he is dead

Good choices to be sure but a glaring omission, in my opinion, is Casanova with the late great Heath Ledger. I believe it was the first and only movie filmed entirely in Venice.

Il Postino! I love this movie. Once when I was in Salina I stopped at a winery and the owner pushed us into his beaten down truck and drove us out to the point just so he could point out the beach where the movie was filmed! It’s experiences like this that make Italy fantastic. And, the wine was pretty good too!

Joan – Yeah, they really Hollywood-ized that one. At least the scenery’s lovely.

Michelle – That movie creeped me the hell out. I’ve only seen it once…

Cristina – Well, not *all* of it was filmed there, but I thought it was interesting that the Cairo hotel is actually in Venice.

Judy – That does sound like an interesting show!
