Many parts of the country are already experiencing quite a bit of snow, so yes - I'd say a coat and either water-tight shoes or boots is a must, and gloves and a scarf might also be welcome.

Will be in Italy for most of December. Can I expect to wear jackets and boots every day? Gloves probably wouldn't be a bad idea either. Going to Venice, Florence and Rome.

Here are some temperature averages for the year:

http://www.italylogue.com/weather

But my suggestion is to look up the current forecast for the cities you'll be visiting right before you leave on your trip.

Hi, Anuj:

You can get a rough idea of temperatures in a few areas on my Italy weather page - http://www.italylogue.com/weather - but I highly recommend you continue to check weather forecasts right up until the day before your trip so you know what the current forecasts are. There can be fluke weather patterns - unusually warm or unusually cold - that will change the way you pack.

Ciao,
Jessica
