I like to know the way to make a reservation for the train from Rome to Florence. Can that be done via internet? nd is it possible to do it on the day of departure at the station and what is the station in Rome we have to take? Thanks in advance for the answer. greetings from The Netherlands.

Rather than going from Rome to Florence, i would recommend to go to SIENA instead and stay at the Albergo Chiusarelli, accross the San Domenico church. You could thereby combine the smaller (and more rural) Siena and still go by bus to Florence (Firenze): the bus station is next to S.Domenico, a 2-minute walk from Albergo Chiusarelli. The bus takes you to Firenze station in about 90 minutes.
