I LOVE LOVE LOVE the city notebooks. Like you I didn't want to mess them up at first, but realized I was being silly. Each one has become both a valued resource and a treasured memento. The perforated squares are called "loose notes for quick messages," so my best guess is they are meant to be torn out when you need to give someone a note or bit of info (phone number, address, etc), or you need to take a small bit of info out of the notebook for some other reason.

Jessica, glad to know that Powells has them - I'll have to stop by on my way home from work tonight! My mother-in-law bought me one for Paris and I can't wait to use it in September. Glad I am not the only one who was wary of "messing up" such a pretty book by writing in it!

Yeah, once I finally figured out how I wanted to use them, I really became a fan of these notebooks. I saw Torino on the list of Italian cities that they'll be adding to the notebooks range, it'll be interesting to see what other cities in Italy make the cut.

Very cool and the blank pages are a great idea. What better way to keep those holiday memories alive.
