Hostels in San Gimignano

One of the more popular hill towns in Tuscany for day trips from Florence is San Gimignano - but as is the case with many hill towns, staying overnight in San Gimignano often is a more fulfilling experience than just visiting for the day. It’s a beautifully picturesque walled town marked by several so-called “skyscrapers” - medieval towers that make the tiny skyline unique.
There are accommodation options both inside and outside the city walls, and while staying inside the city walls offers a nice opportunity to enjoy the quiet cobbled streets early in the morning and later in the evening when the day trippers aren’t around, outside the city walls is sometimes where you’ll find the cheaper hotels and hostels.
