30 Days (more or less) in Italy

overpacked

I’m happy to announce that I’ll be spending just over a month in Italy, starting at the end of February. The husband will continue his job-hunting, and I’ll be traveling around taking pictures and gathering tidbits of information to share with you when I return. But don’t think you’ll have a month off from my witticisms, oh no! I’ll be posting from Italy as well, telling you how my trip is going and sharing at least a little of what I’m doing and seeing.

We’ll be based in Milan, so we’ll be seeing even more of the city than we did on our week-long trip in November, and we’ll be able to re-connect with the people we met on that trip. I’m really looking forward to having more than just a week in what I found to be an exciting and vibrant city, even if it still is going to be cold! I’m hoping to spend some time in Southern Italy, Tuscany, Venice, and the Italian Lakes region – but nothing is yet decided. All I know at this point is that I’m going. And for now, that’s pretty good. (And although I’m usually guilty of overpacking, that will not be what I look like as I head off for this trip. I mean, for one thing, I’m a girl.)

Oh, and I do know that this time we’ve actually got Last Supper tickets to see Leonardo’s masterpiece in Milan, which I’m thrilled about. In fact, at this moment I’ve got tickets to see The Last Supper but no plane tickets. I should really get on that.

So, while I’m busily putting together a list of places I want to go and things I want to do, I thought I’d throw the question out to you. Where do you want me to go? What do you want me to research? What do you want to see pictures of? Leave me a comment here and let me know. Your wishes just may be granted!
