Hotels in Florence

Florence is one of the most popular cities in Italy to visit, and has been for quite a long time – so hunting for hotels in Florence can be daunting. It seems like an embarrassment of riches to have so many options, but sorting through every single hotels description is enough to put anyone right off holiday planning entirely.

Here’s a map of hotels in central Florence:

In order to help make your trip planning a little less of a hassle, then, here are some links to articles I’ve written about Florence hotels. I’ll be adding to this list periodically, so you can consider this your “table of contents” to all the Florence hotels articles on the site.

With most of these articles, you’ll get more than just a list of hotel names – you’ll get descriptions of each hotel, as well as a map showing where each one is in the city. The maps are especially helpful so that you know whether “walking distance to the Duomo” is an accurate description of a hotel!

To expand your search a bit, you can always plug your travel dates in and browse through more options for cheap hotels in Florence.

And if you’re looking for a cheaper option, consider staying one of the many hostels in Florence – many of which have private rooms.

Here here – Florence can be maddening to find a hotel. Is it the right quality? Is it even remotely close to the centre? Is it available? In Florence in particular, it seems the hotel selection process is worse than in most places….

I personally like guesthouses, and Florence has some lovely ones which won’t break the bank.
