Great Deals on Winter Airfare to Italy

Want to spend two weeks in Italy without breaking the bank? Go in the winter. It’s true – while traveling anywhere in Europe is going to be more expensive than in other parts of the world pretty much year-round, if you change your holiday from a mid-summer trip to a late fall or wintertime affair you will be able to save bundles of money on everything from airfare to hotels to meals. What’s more, the lines will be shorter (or non-existent), too.

Airfare Watchdog found some “early bird” specials to off-season tickets to Italy which go as low as $469 round-trip from New York’s JFK airport to Rome or Naples. That’s less than half the summertime fares tend to be, so the deals are definitely worth looking into.

But if the idea of a gondola ride through Venice in the cold doesn’t, umm, float your boat, there’s still time to get to Italy before the winter and not spend your entire travel budget on airfare. Be sure to check these deals on airfare to Rome and call for more information about finding a ticket to Italy that still leaves you money for things like pizza and the occasional museum entry.
