Here are a few other Florence hostels you can choose from. I haven’t stayed in these myself, but they’re open and get good reviews from other travelers:

Leonardo House, on Via del Trebbio, is a guesthouse a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo, with rooms you can share with friends to get the price down to hostel level.
Ostello Bello Firenze, on Via Faenza near the San Lorenzo market, is one of the best-reviewed hostels in the city, with dorms and private rooms.
PLUS Florence, on Via Santa Caterina d’Alessandria north of the center, is huge and has two swimming pools (one indoor, one outdoor) and a rooftop terrace.
YellowSquare Florence, on Viale Redi west of the Fortezza da Basso, is the party pick, with a rooftop pool, three bars and events most nights.
